God Bless Baby Lucy!

Lucy was baptized on March 7, 2015 at St. Louise de Marillac by Fr. Mike Caridi. He is the same priest who married Dan and I. We had both of our families there to celebrate and it was also a special celebration because of Pappy’s 91^st birthday! Before the Baptism, we were at Dan’s house for a special brunch with Mimi, Granddad, Aunt Liz, Grandma Tarr, Aunt Karen, Bill, Carol and Jenna. Lucy put her beautiful gown on there that we borrowed from Madeline and we went to church at 1:00. It was a private ceremony followed by some gorgeous pictures taken by Emily! We went to Aunt Dianne’s after for a combined Baptism/Birthday party for food, desserts and cake with all the cousins, aunts, uncles and Gram and Pap. God bless Lucy Jean on her Baptism day!

Williamsburg, VA

Lucy's first vacation was with our Bethesda medical school friends (Maj, Mitch, Talia, Emma, Phil, Daniel, Lily, Kelsey, Chase, Ella and Isaac). It was quite the group and even included a little stomach flu for the Matthews family! It was the first time in a while that the adults got to have some kid free time at night once the babies were sleeping. Wine for mama yay!! We visited the historical Williamsburg site and did some shopping at the outlets. Lucy was amazing as usual :)
